Matt + Alexis [engagement] Huntsville, Ala.

How did you two meet?
Matt: "We met through mutual friends one night at a local bar in auburn while she was still in pharmacy school. I remembered my friend going over to talk with a girl he knew and Alexis was sitting at the same table. I decided why not and sat down here and strike up a conversation. I remember her being very beautiful and somewhat shy, but in a cute way. I'm a nervous talker, so it worked out perfectly. The night ended with us going to eat at a Waffle House where we chatted for several more hours till everything around us was closed. After that night I did not see her again for a couple weeks, but she had still been on my mind since that night. Luck was to have it that the next time I was out in Auburn I saw her at the same bar. I made it a point that I was going to 'run into her' at some point in the night. I finally got my opportunity and we hung around each other the rest of the night just talking and having a good time. After that night I knew that I wanted to keep seeing her, so I asked if she would like to go out on a date with me and luckily, she said yes. We hung out regularly while she was still at auburn and have been in a long-distance relationship ever since!"

Alexis: "I was with one of my best pharmacy friends and Matt was with his roommate and we ran into each other at Sky Bar in Auburn. Our two friends basically ditched us to hang out with each other, and Matt and I were left to hang out. Matt actually spent most of the night telling me about his girlfriend that he had just broken up with that week-- which we laugh about now and I wish I had listened a little closer, haha. We ended up going back to my friend's apartment for a little while to hang out and then I was going to take Matt back to his truck as the night was ending. As we were walking to my car he said he was hungry, and asked if I wanted to go to Waffle House. Looking back now I can not even believe I agreed to go because that was very out of character for me to go anywhere with someone I don't really know. We ended up having the best time at Waffle House and talked until about 3 in the morning. We didn't actually speak again until about two weeks later when we ran into each other again at Sky Bar and after that we spent most of my remaining time in Auburn together and have been dating long distance since then."

How and when did Matt propose?

Alexis: "Matt proposed on my family trip to Seacrest Beach, the same beaches where my parents got engaged. We were with most of my mom's side of the family, but only my parents knew it was going to happen. On the way down Matt suggested we go down to the beach one night and take a picture to update his background (it was a picture of us on the beach from a year before). Our second night there we had dinner at home and Matt and I were just hanging out waiting for dinner. I noticed it was around time for the sunset and I asked if he wanted to walk down to the beach to take that picture. He agreed and while down there we were just sitting watching the sunset and I was complaining about how sitting on my shoes was uncomfortable. He suggested we move, and when I got up he grabbed my hand and was down on one knee. It was very private and intimate with just us which made it that much more special. One of the owners of the houses along the beach saw it happen from her dinner table and was sweet enough to run out and snap a picture of us on the beach. It is one of my favorite pictures of us even though I was just wearing lounging clothes with no makeup on and nails that were about two weeks overdue for an appointment. It was also fun getting to surprise all of our family and friends with the engagement."

Matt: "Around May this year, Alexis and I had been dating for over two years at the time, and I was ready to ask her to marry me. We had discussed getting married several times, and she kept hinting that she wanted me to propose to her soon. Trying to be a little romantic and surprise her, I acted as it would be towards the end of the year before I would start looking for a ring. All the while I had thought it would be a perfect opportunity to do it at her family beach trip in July. I started doing my research on what she would want and the cost of it all because I wanted it to be perfect. Alexis’s aunt had a contact, from where they grew up, that worked in the diamond industry and helped me through this whole process. We finally landed on the perfect ring and all I had to do then was pick it up. After that the nervousness of how I was going to actually do it started to set in. I knew she wanted it to just be just us without all the distractions of others so we could be in the moment and what better way to do that than a sunset walk on the beach. On the way down to the beach with her family I kept trying to think of a way to get her out on a sunset walk without her figuring out what was about to happen. I had a background picture of us as the wallpaper on my phone and tried to spin it that at some point on the trip I wanted to get an updated picture of the two of us, and she liked the idea. I had my plan and was now just waiting for the day. One day while we were all sitting out on the beach the topic of what to eat that night had come up and we all decided that we wanted to be on the beach longer so we would just eat at the house instead of going out. After that conclusion, I thought it would be a perfect time for our 'walk on the beach for a new picture,' but before I could even get it out of my mouth Alexis asked if I wanted to go get our picture before dinner since we would have time while they were cooking. The opportunity could not have happened any better because it being her idea-- she would not have any clue what was coming. So that evening after getting all the sand and saltwater off us we headed back down to the beach. The whole walk back down I had my hand on the ring nervous that she was somehow going to see it or I was going to drop it. As we walked on the beach, we ran into her dad who was out treasure hunting with his metal detector, so we stopped by to chat with him for a minute. Knowing what my plan was, he kept looking down at my pocket to see if I had the ring which I thought was funny but was hoping Alexis did not notice. Luckily, Alexis did not pick up on it and then we were off down the beach for the sunset. We had to walk down the beach a good way before we found a spot not surrounded by people actually there for just a sunset picture. Once we found our spot, I suggested that we just sit for a few minutes to enjoy the view before taking a picture-- all the while waiting for my moment to get on a knee. She was sitting on her shoes and made the comment that it was a little uncomfortable so I suggested we go down closer to the water so we could have better sand to sit on, knowing this was my opportunity. As we stood, I grabbed her hand, got down on a knee and asked the love of my life to marry me. She was completely surprised and of course said, 'yes!' A lady that had seen what happened from her house had come down and offered to take our picture for us so I could finally update my wallpaper! After we took pictures, we Facetimed my parents to give them the news. I thought my mom was going to jump out of the phone and hug both of us because she was so excited! Soon after we got a text that dinner was ready, so we made our way back down to her dad who was still metal detecting. As we walked up I asked, 'Did you find anything special like a ring or anything' to which he responded 'sadly no,' but then Alexis chimed in saying, 'I did!' and showed him the ring. After all the hugs and excitement, we made our way back to the house to eat. On the walk back her dad convinced us not to tell anybody right away and see if anybody would notice first. Since my parents and her parents were the only ones that knew we figured it would be a fun way to let it unfold. Within 5 minutes after sitting down to eat, Alexis’s grandmother exclaimed, 'WHAT IS THAT ON YOUR FINGER!' and the house erupted with joy and excitement! Later we called all our close friends and family to give them the good news. It was one beach trip I will never forget."

What are some things you two enjoy doing together?

Matt: "We enjoy traveling and having new experiences that we can share together. Going to the movies is something we have always enjoyed doing together as well as a date night. As long as we get to eat some sort of Japanese steak house (cook in front of you) because that is both our second love! We also enjoy cuddling up on the couch and watching some type of crime show."

Davis + Allison [engagement] Birmingham, Ala.

How did you two meet?
Allison: "We met through mutual friends in Auburn. Davis was a little intimidated by how open and friendly I was so he did not talk much at first-- hahaa."

How and when did Davis propose?
Allison: "He proposed on March 13th, 2022 in Apalachicola, FL, which is where he grew up going fishing with his family. He told me we were going to meet his dad at church, and then drove 40 minutes in the opposite direction because he was 'hungry' and only wanted Burger King. He didn't eat any of his burger due to nerves (of course I ate both). Then he stopped in front of our hotel because he needed to use the restroom, but before we went inside he told me to throw a penny in the fountain, which at this point I was super stressed out because we were going to be late to church. I told him, 'Davis-- that'ss dumb-- let's just go.' He eventually talked me into it by saying, 'It's good luck.' While I closed my eyes to throw the penny in the fountain he was getting on one knee. He didn't even say anything, he just looked at me and we both started crying, he technically never asked and I technically never said yes-- but it was implied."

What are some things you two enjoy doing together?
Allison: "We enjoy hunting and fishing together and eating at nice restaurants for date nights."

Davis-- describe Allison in three words:

Bradley + Lucy [7.23.22 wedding] Huntsville, Ala.

How did you two meet?
Lucy: "Bradley and I first met at Auburn, where he was a group leader for an organization that I joined my first semester there. I was one of 45 freshmen in the group, so I think I was pretty much head over heels long before he knew I existed. We got to know each other that year but didn’t start dating until two years later. We actually hadn’t talked to each other in a while, but Bradley texted me out of the blue to wish me a happy birthday and we got a chance to reconnect. He invited me to a Valentine’s Day date party, and the rest is history!"

How and when did Bradley propose?
Lucy: "Bradley proposed last May at Gibbs Garden near Atlanta. I was dying to see the exhibit at the Atlanta Botanical Gardens, but Bradley wanted to go somewhere a little less crowded. We ended up driving about an hour outside the city because—I found out later—he was looking for somewhere really private. That long drive should have been my first hint, but I didn’t think anything of it! When we got there, it was comically crowded. We could barely move because there were so many people in the garden. Bradley kept asking if we could dodge down side trails or stay longer in certain areas until everyone else had left. By that time, I started to get suspicious, so when he asked me if I wanted to wander off the trail, I went along with it. When we finally found a clearing without anyone else around, Bradley asked me to marry him. It was a sweet, private moment, and I wouldn’t have wanted it any other way!"

Lucy--what's one of the things you admire most about Bradley?
Lucy: "Bradley is my opposite in every good way. He’s easy-going when I’m quick to get overwhelmed. He’s confident and self-possessed, and he bolsters me up when I’m shy or reserved. He’s also always steady; he knows what he wants to do and how it should be done, and he sticks with it to the end. He’s the friend you want in your corner because he isn’t going anywhere. I’m the luckiest girl because I get to have him as my best friend!"

What was each yall's favorite part of the wedding day?
Lucy: "My favorite part of our wedding day was getting to ride from the church to the reception in the coolest vintage car. Bradley and I didn’t have a first look because I can be really superstitious, so this was our only chance to have some quiet time together that day. It was a perfect opportunity to let that, 'We just got married!' feeling sink in before getting to the reception. I probably should have considered that such an old car wouldn’t have air conditioning before I chose it for our July wedding. But it was so fun to ride with the windows down! It was the ultimate feeling of pure joy, spending our first few minutes together as husband and wife just cruising down the road with the wind in our hair. My only regret is that I should have used more hairspray!"

Bradley: "I loved feeling on cloud nine all day long with my best friend. The rush and hurry of getting ready beforehand all went away as soon as the church doors opened, and I saw my wife-to-be smiling at me. From then on it was just an overwhelming feeling of happiness. Being surrounded by so many family and friends, some of whom travelled long distances to be there, meant the world to us and made us feel so special and loved."

Bradley--what's one of the things you admire most about Lucy?
Bradley: "Lucy is thoughtful and compassionate. From the first moment we started dating, I knew how much of a sweet and caring person she is. She always puts the needs of other people before herself, and she is the most selfless person I know."

What are some things you two enjoy doing together?
Bradley: "We like to cook, read books, and go out to dinner, movies or concerts together. We also love binge-watching a good show we’re both into. Lately we’ve been hooked on Ted Lasso."

What's next for you two?
Lucy: "Bradley and I are living in Atlanta now. He’s in his third year as an engineer, and I’m taking some time to finish a book I’ve been writing. (I’m so excited to finally have a chance to chase this lifelong dream of mine!) We’re also diving headfirst into house hunting. We have big plans to explore every nook and cranny around the city to find the right place for us!"

Charlie + Dawson [6.25.22 wedding] Birmingham, Ala.

How did you two meet?

Dawson: “We met our freshman year of college at Auburn. Charlie went to my sorority formal with one of my great friends. I remember asking my friend if she was interested in her date and was disappointed when she said, ‘yes.’ Charlie and I became fast friends and even tried to set each other up on dates with our friends. After this failed, we realized over Little Italy pizza that maybe we did not need to look much farther. We went on our first date at Amsterdam’s Cafe in Auburn and have not looked back since.”

How and when did Charlie propose?

Dawson: “Charlie went ABOVE and BEYOND. Dawson's family took a summer vacation to Jackson Hole, Wyoming. Dawson’s family invited Charlie along for the vacation. On the last night of the trip, Charlie told Dawson he wanted to drive her to one of his favorite fishing spots from the summer in college he had lived in Jackson Hole. He insisted they stop by on the way to dinner because it was near the restaurant. Charlie rushed Dawson into the car after the two got ready for an Italian dinner with the family. Charlie and Dawson’s 20-minute drive to the lake turned into a 45-minute drive thanks to several moose crossings. Despite Charlie’s road rage, Dawson stayed oblivious to the plans. Once we got to the lake, we got out and started walking to the fishing spot, next thing I knew, Charlie was on one knee and a photographer was snapping pictures. He proposed in front of the Teton Mountains and had hired a photographer in Jackson Hole to be there (undercover) for the special moment! After many tears, laughs and pictures, we went back to the house where my whole family and Charlie’s mom were waiting to celebrate. A day I will never forget :)”

Charlie--what's one of the things you admire most about Dawson?
Charlie: “I admire Dawson’s intentional kindness. Dawson always ensures to make every person in a room feel welcomed, comfortable and valued. Her kindness is like a people magnet that draws people in.”

What are some things you two enjoy doing together?
Dawson: “We absolutely love to cook together. It is time to turn off the TV and enjoy one another. On Saturday mornings, we love to go to our favorite coffee shop then walk to the farmer’s market. This has become a Saturday tradition that we look forward to each week. Our most recent activity we are loving has been decorating our new house together. Each night, we look forward to coming home and moving things around to get them just right. Cooking, coffee, and decorating--what could be wrong with that?”

Dawson--what's one of the things you admire most about Charlie?
Dawson: “I admire Charlie’s consistency so much. Charlie is always true to himself and his values. He is a constant in every situation and never wavers-- regardless of the situation.”

What was each yall's favorite part of the wedding day?
Dawson: “Our first look was so incredibly special. We stood back-to-back and read notes that we had written to one another. We then got to turn to look at each other for the first time that day and it was so special. I will never forget that moment of feeling so thankful. We were both able to take a deep breath and take in the special day.”

Charlie: “At our wedding reception, we took a step back to watch our guests. At Iron City, we went up to the balcony and took a second to take in our guests celebrating. We were watching friends and family dance, laugh, eat, chat and meet! It was very cool to sit back and watch the people we love celebrate our special day.”

What's next for you two?
Dawson: “We have moved to Pensacola, Florida. This has been such a fun start to our marriage. Creating a life in a new place together is such a unique experience and a really cool way to start a marriage. We moved here because Charlie is on a team that is building the new Baptist Hospital in Pensacola while I’m teaching in Pensacola. We are excited about this chapter!”

Zach + Hayes {5.28.22 wedding} LaGrange, Ga.

How did you two meet?
Hayes: "Zach and I met in middle school. I was completely in love with him, and he was clearly not on board. I would doodle in my diaries 'I love Zach Giddens' and 'Mrs. Victoria Hayes Vinson Giddens,' and little did I know those doodles were the start of it all. In high school, we were friends and even tried dating my junior year. I was his baseball sweetie and took my job very seriously. I even made sure he had a treat delivered to him via Grams while I was a few hours away at the beach on 30A. Our junior year was a bust, but after a Halloween party our senior year we decided to give it another go. He officially asked me to be his girlfriend in my driveway after school. We dated all throughout college with a brief break before I started graduate school and he started work. I am so thankful for the many years we have been together and even for the time we spent apart. We have learned so much about each other as well as learned so much about ourselves in the process. I also have learned persistence is key-- I have the diaries to prove it!"

How and when did Zach propose?
Hayes: I was told all of our friends were going to a brewery and to be ready at 4. My friends kept me busy all day with lunch and hanging out at one of our parents' house. This was very common that I truly thought nothing of it. I did however experiment with self tanning my arms and hands, which looking back was a bad time to do so! My friend Chandler and I ran to Walgreens to get self-tan remover to try to fix it and luckily we were able to. I am always worrying about something so when my friends seemed somewhat worried about my tan hands, I started to wonder, but not enough to think it was happening that day. I finally went home to get ready and was ready at 3:45 instead of 4. If you know me, you know I am NEVER early. Zach called to see if I would pick him and Hayden up on my way to the brewery. Since I was already ready, I decided I would go ahead and go over. I drove over to what will be our first home to find Zach walking toward me pulling me into the living room. I saw the coffee table had been moved and all the sudden I saw he was down on one knee. I heard many clicks and looked over to find he had even hired someone to take pictures of the day, which he knows I LOVE a good picture. I think I blacked out because all I remember is him asking and me of course saying yes. Getting proposed to by my lifelong love in the middle of what will be our first home was one of the most precious and special memories I have. I do not like surprises, but thus far that was my favorite surprise and the best day of my life."

Hayes--what's one of the things you admire most about Zach?
Hayes: "I have always prayed for a man that would lead my future family and me, and that is exactly who Zach is and what he does. He is a leader. He leads faithfully and gracefully, and often quietly. Although on the field, his players may disagree with the 'leads quietly' part! Zach humbly reminds me that our Lord is sovereign and good even when the world is not. For me, this is the biggest blessing and one of the many things I soooooo adore about him. And he is pretty cuteeeee too, which is just an added bonus!!!"

Zach --what's one of the things you admire most about Hayes?
Zach: "There are many things I admire about Hayes, but the one thing I admire the most about her is her faithfulness. I am so grateful for not only Hayes’ faithfulness, but also her unconditional love and loyalty. She is always there for me, constantly gracious and inspires me to be a better man every day. She is faithful to her family and friends, and committed to always being there for them. She is also faithful to herself, staying true and steadfast to her principles, morals and beliefs. Most importantly, and the thing I admire most about Hayes is her love and faithfulness to the Lord. To me, Hayes is a light to this world and constantly portrays the love of Jesus Christ because of the relationship she has with him. For that, I am so thankful and blessed beyond measure to call Hayes my wife."

What was each yall's favorite part of the wedding day?
Zach: "My favorite moment on the day of our wedding occurred just minutes before Hayes walked down the aisle. I knew I would be seeing her soon enough and we would be officially married in just half an hour. But prior to that, I couldn’t help but reflect on the past eight and a half years we have experienced together. I was standing in the back hallway of the church with my dad and Blake when the ceremony began, waiting and anticipating seeing my beautiful bride. At that time, the hymn 'Great is Thy Faithfulness' was being sung and the emotions began to overwhelm me. I had been waiting for this moment-- to marry Hayes-- for what seems like my whole life. All I could do was think how great our God is, for all He has done for me and for blessing me to have Hayes in my life. That moment, along with the entire ceremony, will be a memory I will never forget. From the time I saw Hayes for the first time to us walking out the church doors as a married couple, it seemed like it was just the two of us. I felt like no one was in the room but us, although we were so fortunate to have so many friends and family members there to support us. It was the best day of my life and I will always cherish how special it was."

Hayes: "My favorite part of the wedding day was the ceremony itself. While I loved it all, that part was so special to me. We practiced most of what that day would entail at the rehearsal, but nothing could prepare me for the emotions I would feel the day of. After almost a decade of dating, I felt like I was at the crossroads of 'my heart may burst' or 'I may burst into tears' at any moment. The only way I can describe what those feelings were all mixed together is this: pure joy. I was fortunate enough to have a lifelong friend sing at our wedding, have my YoungLife leader/friend read scripture, have my youth pastor provide marriage counseling and officiate the big day, have all of my friends and family in one big room, have that one big room be the church I grew up in, and best of all finally have Zach Giddens as my husband. It was the sweetest, most special day of my life, and I will always treasure it."

What are some things you two enjoy doing together?
Hayes: "My perfect date would be watching a TV show or movie with Zach and our two pups, Lucy and Bear. We also really love to do anything where we get to spend quality time together. Walks and Friday date nights (not in the Fall, of course) are a must!"

Zach: "We enjoy Going to breweries and wineries, going to and watching movies, dinner dates, playing with our dogs, going to the beach and pool, going on walks and going to TJ Maxx."

What's next for you two?
Hayes: "Someone asked us when we got back from our honeymoon if we were sad to be back. While of course we didn’t want to leave Antigua, both of us immediately said we are just very excited for this new 'normal.' We have talked and dreamed about a time where we get to do everyday life alongside one another-- and well that time is finally here! We are so excited for our new normal, and the chance to learn more and more about one another along the way."

Gray + Katherine [5.14.22 wedding] Huntsville, Ala

How did you two meet?
Gray: "We met on the very first day of pharmacy school when we were assigned to the same study room. I remember immediately noticing this glow that Katherine had about her. She was just someone that I always wanted to be around."

Katherine: "On that first day, I remember Gray being very talkative and sociable. Throughout our first year, we spent many hours in that study room trying to study but mostly chatting!"

How and when did Gray propose?
Gray: "I proposed on May 28, 2021 at Red Canyon which is near our home of Lander, WY. I told Katherine we had dinner reservations at a steakhouse in that area, but timed the trip to where we would be driving by Red Canyon at sunset. The sunset that evening was stunning so Katherine wanted to stop for a picture. Little did she know that I had set out a blanket with some pictures, flowers and a Bible that was marked with a verse I wanted her to read. It took her a minute to figure out what was going on, but when she noticed the pictures were us she knew what was happening. I don’t know if she heard anything I said, but she said, 'yes!'"

Gray--what's one of the things you admire most about Katherine?
Gray: "I admire Katherine’s thoughtfulness. She is always thinking of others and trying to make them comfortable and welcomed in any situation that she is in."

Katherine--what's one of the things you admire most about Gray?
Katherine: "I admire Gray’s enthusiasm and passion for life. Gray has so many hobbies that he enjoys and is so passionate about all of them. This enthusiasm is contagious and so fun to be around! I also love that Gray can strike up a conversation and relate to anyone-- it is such a gift!"

What was each yall's favorite part of the wedding day?
Gray: "Although they were few and normally short, I loved the times throughout the day when it was just Katherine and me. To just be in those moments together right before we would be husband and wife and right after we became husband and wife was great. The day almost felt surreal, but during those moments we were able to feel like the day we had planned and prayed about for so long was finally happening."

Katherine: "There were so many special moments throughout our wedding day. Some of my favorites were during the wedding ceremony. One moment was when we sang the hymn “In Christ Alone.” It was so touching to have our guests join us in singing a praise hymn that was so special to Gray and me. Another favorite moment was walking out of the church together during the recessional, the feelings of joy and excitement I felt while walking down the aisle as a newly married couple is a feeling that I don’t think will ever be replicated."

What are some things you two enjoy doing together?
Katherine: "We love to be on the move and to see new places. Being out West we are close to so many fun day trips and destinations. While we have been able to travel a little, we are looking forward to many more trips as newlyweds and beyond. One of our favorite things to do while exploring is trying fun local restaurants. Gray is an avid outdoorsman and the opportunity to fish, hunt and explore is what initially drew him to Wyoming. While Gray enjoys any kind of hunting or fishing trip-- it has been so fun for me to tag along on the occasional hunting or fishing trip. Last year we went antelope hunting together, this year it may be bison!"

What's next for you two?
Katherine: "We are excited to be back in Wyoming and finally share a house. It has been fun to get the house organized and decorated and also get acquainted with living together. We can’t wait to travel this summer and explore more of this beautiful country together as a married couple."

Drew + Candice [4.30.22 wedding] Lake Martin, Ala.

How did you two meet?
Candice: "Drew slid into my Instagram messages while I was in Iceland to comment on how beautiful the Aurora Borealis was in my picture. I knew this was his charming way of finally 'breaking the ice' after months of patiently waiting for him to reach out after mutual friends expressed to each of us that we might make a good pair. Two weeks later, I found an excuse to be in Birmingham, and Drew asked me on our first date to Parkside for casual drinks. I enjoyed his sense of humor and southern gentleman qualities."

Drew: After meeting, I was impressed with how pretty and social she was-- and how we were able to talk for hours without noticing."

How and when did Drew propose?
Drew: "After a nice date night in downtown Birmingham, we took a slow stroll back to the car as I built up the courage to ask at the spot I had planned. Upon arriving, a car was attempting to parallel park poorly and threw off the moment. Candice jumped in the car after a failed stall attempt, but I was determined. I motioned to her that my tire had been sliced, and she jumped out right away extremely concerned. I grabbed her by the hand and the rest is history!"

Drew--what's one of the things you admire most about Candice?
Drew: "Candice has an infectious personality that makes her a joy to be around."

What are some things you two enjoy doing together?
Candice: "We enjoy going on walks with our dog Lady, attending concerts and spending time at the lake."

Candice--what's one of the things you admire most about Drew?
Candice: "Drew's stash of witty comments--he rarely fails to make me laugh."

What was each yall's favorite part of the wedding day?
Drew: "When Candice and I took a moment during the wedding ceremony to look out and see all of our friends and family in attendance. It was special to see all of them in one place."
Candice: "Walking down the aisle with my dad. The extended walk from the top of the staircase down to the ceremony cross allowed me time to process so many emotions and details that were special to me about our wedding day and that the moment was finally here!"

What's next for you two?
Candice: "We look forward to our future together in Birmingham with our pup, Lady, and making our house feel more like a home. The honey do list has already been started! :)"

John Murray + Carley [3.19.22 wedding] Birmingham, Ala.

How did you two meet?
Carley: "John Murray and I have lots of mutual friends since we both went to Auburn, but we actually didn’t meet until post graduation! I cheered at Auburn with one of John Murray’s friend’s little sisters, so he got my number from her! John Murray asked me on a date, but I was supposed to go to Auburn to visit friends when he asked me. I ended up changing my plans and going to a friend’s house where I knew John Murray would be there. We talked all night as if no one else was in the room. I thought he was so outgoing, so handsome-- and I knew I wanted to continue seeing this boy! That same night he texted some of his coworkers and said he thinks he met his future wife. It’s basically as close to love at first sight as you can get!"

How and when did John Murray propose?
Carley: "It was Father’s Day weekend, and we were spending the weekend in Fairhope with his family. There was a tropical storm this weekend (bad luck), but the Lord gave John Murray one hour of a beautiful sky. He used this one hour without rain to take me to our 'lunch reservations' at the Grand Hotel. He walked me to what I thought was the way to the restaurant, but it was actually a beautiful garden with a fountain and a small pond. It was the absolute most perfect setting. He got to the perfect spot and quickly hit a knee before the rain started back up again! It was the perfect proposal. After we took a few pictures, the rain started coming down, so we made our way to the 'She Said Yes' party with all of our friends and family! The whole day was absolutely perfect!"

John Murray-- what's one of the things you admire most about Carley?

John Murray: "The thing I most admire about Carley is how tender her heart is toward others."

What are some things you two enjoy doing together?
Carley: "Honestly just getting to spend time with John Murray is my favorite thing to do no matter what we’re doing or where we are. We love to travel together, sing in the car, go to church, watch Auburn football/basketball, and cook together! It's the little things that make us the happiest!"

What was each yall's favorite part of the wedding day?Carley: "My very favorite part of the wedding day was signing the papers to make it all official! There are so many little things to do on the day of the wedding, but the whole reason we were there was to become husband and wife. Signing those papers made the whole day feel complete! I also loved getting to see John Murray for the first time that day. He took all of my nerves away. It was the perfect day."

John Murray: "My favorite part of the wedding day was dancing with the band."

Carley --what's one of the things you admire most about John Murray?

Carley: "I admire how hard working John Murray is. He does everything wholeheartedly, and it’s extremely admirable. I also admire how he consistently leads me and others closer to the Lord. He leads me in ways I didn’t even know I needed, and he makes me a better version of myself. Also, he is so kind and tender-hearted. I admire his kindness to others."

What's next for you two?

Carley: "We just bought a house! How many stressful life events can you cram into just a couple months? Haha! We love our cozy home in Mount Pleasant, SC. We are so excited to make more memories here and grow our family one day!"

Trace + Katie [engagement] Pike Road, Ala.

How did you two meet?
Trace: "Katie and I have known one another for quite a while. We grew up in the same church and school in Montgomery, Alabama. During high school, we became close friends, if not best friends, and slowly began to develop feelings for one another. I knew I liked Katie once I started to get nervous around her and enjoyed how much she made me laugh. We started dating when we were 15 and have been together for almost 7 years."

How and when did Trace propose?
Katie: "It was extremely sweet and sentimental, and it is a day that I never want to forget! Trace had made plans for us to go to dinner that Sunday. On the car ride there, he began asking me questions about why I want to get married at Church in the Pines. During our drive, we passed the church and asked me to show him what I loved so much about it. So, we made a small detour and stopped by. It wasn’t until I was out of the car and walking halfway down the middle aisle that I realized what was truly happening. I was genuinely shocked and ecstatic when I saw flowers and this small wooden sign that read, "I choose you." Words can’t even begin to describe how I was feeling at that moment! I kept repeating, 'actually,' over and over again to which Trace just laughed and smiled at me. He was so incredibly sweet and patient with me while I took it all in. We both teared up because this is something we both had been looking forward to. Afterwards, we sat down in one of the pews and reflected on the years we have already had together. It was nothing short of amazing!"

What are some things you two enjoy doing together?
Katie: "We genuinely enjoy any time we get to spend together! Some of our favorite things that we enjoy together are watching movies, cooking and playing pickle ball. We make a pretty good doubles team!"

Katie: "Trace is thoughtful, compassionate and charismatic."

Trey + Olivia [12.11.21 wedding] Birmingham, Ala.

How did you two meet?

Olivia: "I met Trey in law school. I thought he was so easy going and loves life. He's been reminding me to breathe and that everything will work out from day one I think."
Trey: "I thought Olivia was so much fun to be around, and I always had a good time every time we hung out. She's a big planner, so we always had some kind of plan, which is nice because I'm not much for plans."

How and when did Trey propose?

Olivia: "Trey proposed in August of 2020 (he almost did in May of 2020 and COVID shutdowns had different plans for his ring shopping and allowing all our friends and family to get together-- of course I had no clue about this until after the August proposal). I thought my college girlfriends (and their husbands) were meeting us at the lake for the weekend. When we got there, we got ready to go to dinner, but everyone was running late so Trey wanted to take the boat out to pass the time until we met everyone at the restaurant. We drove around for a while then headed back to the house when the sun was going down. When we were walking back to the house, he turned around and proposed on the dock. I said, 'yes,' started crying of course, and then immediately asked if my friends knew (ya know-- the important things, HAHA). He turned to the house and pointed upstairs and everyone came outside! Our friends and families were all there. Trey is not much of a planner, so I was literally so surprised-- especially because somehow he managed to drive all the way to Atlanta and buy a ring without me knowing he was gone."

Olivia-- what's one thing you admire most about Trey?

Olivia: "Oh there is a lot-- but probably the thing I admire the most is that he does not meet a stranger. He can talk to absolutely anyone about anything. He has this incredible gift of connecting with people even when the person could not be more different than him."

What are some things you two love doing together?

Olivia: "We absolutely love to travel. Trey is really good at finding cool places for us to go and booking the hotels/flights-- LOL. I am good at ironing out the details and organizing everything. We like to go to sporting events and concerts and of course hanging out with Moe and Pip, our dogs. We hope to attend a second Final Four in New Orleans! WDE!"

Trey-- what's one thing you admire most about Olivia?

Trey: "I admire Olivia's work ethic and her dedication. She's determined and she always works hard for what she wants. For instance, she worked to pay her way through law school and never had a second thought about it. She may need to analyze things (sometimes longer than I want to analyze), but she's all in once she sets her mind to something. She's 100% at everything she does."

What was each of yall's favorite parts of the day?

Olivia: "My favorite part of the day was probably walking down the aisle and seeing Trey. We had been so busy (and a little stressed about the potential December tornadoes) that everything was so go, go, go all morning. When the doors opened though, it was such a surreal moment that it was finally time."

Trey: "I saw a video on Instagram about non-traditional ideas for a wedding and one of them was a private last dance, so we did it. We had everyone leave to get ready for our 'send-off,' but we stayed behind for one last dance with just us. I thought it was nice to be alone and to take it all in by ourselves without being pulled in every direction."

What's next for you two?
Olivia: "Work-- the legal world never sleeps, HAHA! I went back to work the Monday after the wedding before we left for Paris! Seriously though, Trey started a new job last week, so he is busy getting settled in. I am falling back into my normal routine minus the wedding planning. We're planning a few more trips and getting moved into our new house in the next few weeks."

Parker + Erin [engagement] Hardaway, Ala.

How did you two meet?
Erin: "If there is anything good that came out of the pandemic, it was getting to meet Parker. We met at a Bible study back in 2020. It was obviously the Lord that brought the two of us together, but we had a lot of mutual friends rooting for us from the beginning. I remember sitting at the Bible study the first night, listening to him talk about the glory of God, and thinking, 'I could listen to him talk for forever.' And thankfully have gotten to ever since."

Parker: "When I met Erin, my thoughts were that I was just interested in her from the start and who she was. I thought she was very pretty and as the night went on, I just wanted to get to know who she was and what she was about. As I got to know her and hear her thoughts over the next weeks and months, I just wanted to be with her all the time."

How and when did Parker propose?
Erin: "Parker proposed on October 23, 2021. We had been wanting to take a trip to Pursell farms to visit a couple he was close with so that was the story he was going with. When we got there, he told me Mrs. Chris had made an arrangement for us to go on a tour of the grounds. I was secretly hoping that was just a cover-up for the proposal, but when we got there, we did in fact hop into a giant 18 passenger van for a tour of the property. I kept telling myself not to get my hopes up, but once we made it up the mountain to the 'secret place', and I saw a Bible on the ground, I realized what was happening. It still doesn’t feel all that real to me, and I couldn’t tell you anything Parker said, but I think I said, 'yes!'-- and have continued to say yes since then! I can’t wait to marry him and pursue Christ together."

Parker -- describe Erin in three words:
Parker: "Erin is joyful, kind and beautiful."

Erin-- describe Parker in three words:
Erin: "Parker is intentional, honest and personable."

What are some things you two enjoy doing together?
Erin: "We love to spend time with our friends and family, being outdoors, hunting, going to the lake, eating good food :)"

Has the Lord taught you two anything through the process of meeting and deciding to get married?
Erin: "For me, the Lord has shown me so much of His glory through this whole process. As sweet as it is to get married, it is all just a glimpse and picture of what is to come. The marriage of Christ and his bride. The wonderful truth is that those who love and trust in Christ for their salvation, will one day be fully redeemed and with Him forever. He came to earth to prepare the way for us, and is even now perfecting us into the image of His bride. Dating Parker has been the best; He is home to me, a safe place, intentional in the things we do and how we date one another. He’s also just fun to spend time with and loves people as much as I do. But in the end, being married to Parker is not the goal. Instead, I have learned that through this marriage, we will get to daily be a picture of the gospel to the rest of this world so that God would be made great, and His name glorified! He is worthy! We have come to behold even more of His greatness in dating!
We have also learned how imperfect we are. Both of us would say that we have seen so much of our sin in this season. Learning to choose someone else over yourself and serve them is not our natural tendency. We like to think about ourselves first, but it has been a joy to get to be humbled and sanctified as we look to Christ who gave up everything to save sinners like ourselves! We are so thankful for the mercy and abundant grace we were shown and by God, and to get to live in light of that with Parker."

Parker: "One thing I have come to learn is patience. Patience as we waited to date and waited to get engaged, and now wait to be married. But also patience with one another when we fall short. I know I have really come to cherish the Lord as a creator through dating as well. As I have gotten to know Erin better than I’ve gotten to know any human ever, it has allowed me to see his detail in creating her and crafting her into who she is."

Michael + Cat [12.18.21 wedding] Montgomery, Ala.

How did you two meet?
Michael: "Even though we’re both from Montgomery, we didn’t actually meet until we went to Auburn. During our freshman year at Auburn, we became good friends and remained friends throughout our time in college. Despite just being friends for a while she was always someone I really enjoyed spending time with. From the beginning Cat was also one of the easiest people to talk to and was truly a great friend that I knew was always going to be there for me. During my fifth year at Auburn when I was getting my Masters in Accounting, Cat was fortunately also still in town. We started going to dinner fairly regularly, but still just as friends. The more and more we hung out, the more I realized how stupid I was for not pursuing a relationship sooner. From very early on in our dating relationship I knew she was the one I wanted to spend the rest of my life with."

Cat: "I love looking back on Michael and mine’s relationship and seeing how God weaved the most perfect path for us to end up with one another. Even though we’re both from Montgomery, we didn't actually meet until our freshman year at Auburn. Over the next several years, we became great friends. I remember always enjoying spending time with him and how I thought he always gave the best advice. As our friendship progressed so did our care and liking of one another. Ever since our first date, I knew our relationship was something special."

How and when did Michael propose?
Michael: "February 6th. I had told Cat we were going to Montgomery for my grandmother’s birthday party on a Saturday afternoon. Auburn was playing Ole Miss in basketball that day so I asked if we could go to Montgomery early and go to her parents’ house to watch the game before the birthday party. Obviously, the birthday party was just a ploy and instead both of our families were waiting for us at Cat’s house. I think I held it together and didn’t spoil anything on the drive-- blaming any nerves I had on the Auburn basketball game coming up. When we got to her house, I parked in the front which I never did so at this point I think she knew something was going on. It was a slightly rainy day so her mom had left us boots and an umbrella at the front door. I then walked Cat through her backyard to their pier on their pond. Her mom and grandmother had set up the pier with flower arrangements. Everything looked perfect. I honestly don’t remember what all I said but I’m so blessed that Cat said yes. We then went back into the house where we were greeted by family. It was truly the best day of my life."

Cat: "I couldn’t have imagined a more perfect day! Michael is a big planner; so, I had an idea that the engagement would be happening soon (because he told me). But I truly had no idea he was going to propose the weekend that he did. He told me the week before that we would be traveling to our hometown to celebrate his grandmother’s birthday. Michael’s mom even called him when he was with me to tell him about the party and that we needed to pick up a sweet card for her. A couple of days before the proposal weekend, he mentioned that we should go a little early so that we could be in Montgomery in time to watch the Auburn basketball game at my parents’ house. As we pulled into the driveway, I started to sense that something was different about that day. Once we got out of the car, Michael walked us through the back yard to our pier. While at the pier, he shared that he wanted to spend the rest of his life with me and asked me to marry him. We then celebrated the rest of the day with our families. February 6th was most perfect day!"

Cat --what's one of the things you admire most about Michael?
Cat: "Michael is so grounded in his faith, and his daily actions are a reflection of the Lord’s love and grace. Michael is one of the most patient people I have ever met. He is patient with me when times are hard and is always the first to cheer me up. Michael is kind. He always has others best interest at heart. Michael is not envious, boastful, or proud. Michael is the humblest person I’ve ever met. He never makes anything about himself or his accomplishments. He has an incredible work ethic, and he is the most loyal person I have ever met. He is the type of friend that is a best friend to all friends and in our relationship, he always counts me more significant than he does himself by his consistent servant’s heart and unconditional love."

Michael--what's one of the things you admire most about Cat?
Michael: "Cat has the most genuine care for others I have ever seen. She is one of the most unselfish people, and she puts others in front of herself by focusing on how to help someone before even counting the cost of her own labor and work. Her love for God is so consistent. Regardless of circumstance, I feel like it’s one of her first thoughts. Whether she is walking through difficulty or receiving great news, Christ is always at the center of her thoughts. She has a consistent desire to grow in her faith."

What was each yal's favorite part of the wedding day?
Cat: "While there were so many moments throughout the wedding day that brought joyful tears to my eyes, my favorite part was seeing Michael for the first time on the wedding day. It brought me so much joy, peace and excitement to see him and for us to share a few minutes alone with one another before we were surrounded by all of our loved ones throughout the ceremony and reception."
Michael: "Like Cat mentioned, the time we were able to spend together when we had our first look was great. I will say though, my favorite part of the wedding day was seeing Cat walk down the aisle. It was a moment I had been eagerly awaiting, and to say it surpassed my expectations is an understatement. I was overwhelmed with joy seeing her walk toward me as I knew I was so lucky to get to marry her."

What are some things you two enjoy doing together?
Michael: "Attending Auburn athletic events. In general, I think we both really enjoy going to the games together and getting to spend time together with our families and friends. The first time I met Cat’s parents was at an Auburn basketball game when we were still friends. The first time I traveled with Cat we went to Nashville for the SEC Championship. Our first date was the Auburn St. Louis basketball game in Birmingham and coincidentally enough-- Auburn actually played St. Louis again on our wedding date. I knew after our first date if Cat still wanted to date me after seeing me at Auburn athletic events, we had a good shot of making it."

Cat: "Luckily, Michael and I enjoy and are interested in many of the same things! While Auburn athletic events are probably at the top of the list, you can always catch us eating out on pretty much any night of the week! Michael and I are also family oriented, and love spending time with our families."

What's next for you two?
Michael: "We are now enjoying married life in Birmingham, Alabama. We are eager to get plugged into the community and are looking forward to continuing to build friendships in Birmingham."

Sam + Katie [10.2.21 wedding] Selma, Ala.

How did you two meet?
Katie: "We met on an online dating app-Hinge. Neither one of us has any idea who liked the other one first, but I know Sam was the first one to send a message. I sure do wish I'd saved that message now because neither one of us remembers what it said! I definitely knew something was different about Sam, in a very good way. We both had very similar views, loved the Lord and even though we started dating during Covid, we made time and figured out how to watch church together on Sundays."
Sam: "When I met Katie, my first thought was, 'Wow, she's beautiful!' Then, I realized I definitely wanted to spend more time with her. It wasn't long after that I realized I really loved doing life with her."

How and when did Sam propose?
Katie: "I was really, actually, annoyed with Sam the day that he proposed, to be honest! I had the day off of work and had plans to get my nails done and have a 'me' day. Sam called me about 10:00 that morning and asked what I was doing and when I was going to be in Prattville that day. My answer was around 4:00, but that wasn't good enough for him. He then proceeded to call me at least three times while I was trying to get my nails done to make me 'hurry up.' I had a feeling we were about to get engaged, I just didn't think it was going to be that soon after we'd looked at rings. I called my friend Victoria on my way to Prattville and she told me not to get excited. Of course, being on I-65, I got stuck in bumper to bumper traffic and was late getting to Prattville. When I pulled up to Sam's house, I couldn't even get in the door, and he was shoving me into his truck saying that we had an appointment at the RSA Tower in downtown Montgomery-- and we were late! We got up to the Capital City Club, and I knew something was going on because there was a waitress that sprinted by us-- but I kept telling myself not to get my hopes up. I walked over to look at the Biscuit's Stadium, and I heard Sam say my name, when I turned around he was down on one knee!"

Sam: "I had been thinking of places to go and propose. That morning I woke up, and I knew that was the day. I had driven by the RSA tower in the past and thought how cool that would be to see the whole city. I called the Capital City Club and got the okay to do it anytime. I was too excited, and I couldn't wait so I decided that was the day! I called Katie and tried to make her hurry up to get down here. My mom and my best friend Catherine were there which made it really special."

Sam--what's one of the things you admire most about Katie?
Sam: "I admire her determination and willingness to try her best at whatever she does. She's also hilarious."

Katie--what's one of the things you admire most about Sam?
Katie: "Sam has the patience of a saint-- he is very easy going and calm, especially when I'm not. He also loves the Lord and I cannot wait to see him lead our family with Christ driving our relationship."

What was each yall's favorite part of the wedding day?
Katie: "My favorite part of the day was the small amount of time we had together after the ceremony. We didn't have much time together, just the two of us with no one else around, but it was really special just to spend time alone with my new husband, away from everyone else for 10 minutes! I also loved getting to see friends and family that I haven't gotten to see in years! It truly was the most perfect day ever."

Sam: "My favorite part of the day was the first look-- she looked so beautiful, it took my breath away."

What are some things you two enjoy doing together?
Katie: "We love going on hikes, Sam is learning how to golf, movie nights, cooking out together, yard work-- really anything!"

What's next for you two?
Katie: "Starting our life together, building careers, a new business, growing together and eventually... starting a family (but not anytime soon)!"

Joe + Keri [engagement] Austin, TX

How did you two meet?

Keri: "We met on a blind date! So fun, right?! We were set up through a mutual friend from church.”

Joe: "I specifically remember how radiantly beautiful Keri was as well as how mature and balanced she was in conversation. I was eager for a second date, but the very next day was Valentine's day, so I had to be patient.

How and when did Joe propose?

Joe: "I planned the proposal in Keri's hometown of Montgomery. I'm from Austin, Texas, and the trip was planned around meeting Keri's family and asking for her dad's blessing. It was late July when I popped the question under the shade of a giant oak. Keri couldn't believe it when I could only make it about half way through before crying. She said, "Yes!", picked me up off of my knee, and kissed me."

What are some things you two enjoy doing together?

Keri: "We like to take walks in nature and in the city. We are also both foodies who enjoy cooking as well as trying the diverse flair of Austin restaurants. Our love language is quality time, so long strolls and sharing a meal together make for a lovely date."

Joe— what’s one thing you admire most about Keri?

Joe: " What I admire most about Keri is her voice. She speaks tenderly and honestly to me. Her vulnerability builds my trust in her, and I know how much she loves me."

Keri— what’s one thing you admire most about Joe?

Keri: "I can't pick just one, but I love his gentleness. Joe gently extends forgiveness, compassion and the care of a sweet kiss."

What’s one lesson or reminder the Lord has shown each of you in this season of meeting and getting married?

Joe: "God has taught me enjoyment. I've felt undeserving of Keri and the gifts of engagement season. This low grade guilt isn't God's heart. God's heart is of a loving Father. I thank Him and give Him glory in my unashamed enjoyment of the gift of marriage."

Keri: "God has taught me that no matter what my expectations are, His way is the better way! God is giving me marriage on a totally different timeline than I expected. His timing is perfect, and Joe's the perfect person for me."

Hunter + Phelps [9.25.21 wedding] Montgomery, Ala.

How did you two meet?

Phelps: "I had just moved to Mobile and ran into Hunter in a friend’s neighborhood which was where he lived at the time with his family. He messaged me on Facebook and asked me to go to dinner, and I thought why not. I had no intentions of it turning into anything more than just a nice dinner, little did I know it was the start to the rest of my life. I remember thinking how easy it was to talk to Hunter. He was genuine, kind and respectful. It was like a breath of fresh air for me. We ended up having many mutual friends and interests too which made it even more fun. I even found out that his younger brother attended UMS- Wright, which is where I had just accepted a job to teach first grade! I remember after dinner Hunter drove me back to where I was living and thinking I could’ve spent all night just talking and spending time with him. I was a little sad when he walked me to the door, gave me a hug and just left. I thought that was the end of that, haha."

Hunter: "I remember picking Phelps up at the apartment she was living in at the time and thinking how pretty she was, but she had on ripped jeans-- and little did she know that is the one of the biggest things I just do not like when it comes to clothes. After I got over the jeans situation, I really enjoyed spending time with her. She was fun to be around, and she was chatty. She lit up when she talked about her family and her job. I could tell she was passionate about the things she loved. When I dropped her off that night, I remember thinking that I just wanted to spend more time with her and hoped that she felt the same way."

How and when did Hunter propose?

Phelps: "It was the week of September 19, 2020 and Hurricane Sally had just hit Mobile. We had been without power all week and things had been a little crazy. My parents were planning to come down at the end of the week to visit, and I honestly didn't think much of it, but secretly hoped it was going to happen. We all planned to go to dinner that Saturday, the 19th, because it was my parents anniversary. My sister told me to wear 'the dress' that I had been saving in hopes to wear it whenever we did get engaged. I honestly just thought at that point that she said that because it was going to be too summery to wear if I waited much longer to wear it. We planned to go to Fuego which was where we had our first date and were going to meet my family there. When I heard that we were going straight to the restaurant, I just knew we were not getting engaged that night and was a little upset, haha. When we got there they had a big table set up, and I asked who all was coming. Hunter reassured me it was just my family and, we were just early. We sat down and ordered our drinks and at this point I was kinda disappointed, still thinking nothing was going to happen. When the waitress came back to the table, I turned around and there on the tray with our drinks was a ring in a box. Hunter got down on one knee and asked me to marry him!! I asked him more than once if he was kidding. I could not believe that it was happening, and that I was completely surprised! I’m a hard person to surprise."

What was each of yall's favorite parts of the wedding day?

Phelps: "It's hard to pick one favorite part of our wedding day because I have so many! I think if I had to narrow it down to one moment, it would be when the doors of the church opened and my dad and I walked down the aisle. I was so excited to see Hunter and to become his wife. We did not do a first look, so that was my first time seeing him that day. It was so special to see him in that moment and is a memory that I will never forget."

Hunter: "I think my favorite of the wedding day was when Mr. Howell I said that I could kiss my wife. I was so excited that we were finally married and to finally relax. I was so nervous before Phelps walked down the aisle and being able to finally be her husband was so awesome."

Drew + Candice [engagement] Birmingham, Ala.

Drew: "I was impressed with how pretty and social she was, and how we were able to talk for hours without noticing."

Candice: "It was a sweet, intimate moment under the city lights!"

Carter + Caroline [7.10.21 wedding] Montgomery, Ala.

How did you two meet?
Carter: "My earliest memory is seeing Caroline at a Trinity football game in ninth grade. All I remember was thinking that she was cute, but we were making very different life decisions-- and I thought she was too much of a 'good girl.'"

Caroline: "Our moms tell us that we were in preschool together, but neither one of us remembers this! I first remember meeting Carter in junior high, but it wasn’t until after college that we really became friends. We were both living overseas, and I remember thinking how funny and easy he was to be around. It wasn’t until a few years later though that we went on our first date in Asia."

How and when did Carter propose?
Carter: "I proposed January 9, 2021. Caroline and I went to the lake to be with her family at their house on Lake Martin. I picked her up in Birmingham that morning and, somehow, survived the two-hour drive without ruining the surprise. Once we got to the lake, I asked Caroline if she wanted to go down to the dock with me. She obliged but quickly began second guessing whether or not she wanted to brave the cold, having no clue what was coming. I convinced her that we would only be down there for a minute and she came. After a few more minutes of distraction, I mustered up the courage to pop the question. She said yes! My family was next door hiding and came over to celebrate with the Clarks. It was a wonderful day!"

What was each yall's favorite part of the wedding day?
Carter: "I loved the way our preacher, Mr. Mac, charged us to love one another in humility and faithfulness, and reminded us of the foundation and source of this love-- Jesus. That was so impactful and special to us and the celebration that followed was a blast! The dance floor was definitely one of the highlights from that day."

Caroline: "There are so many parts of our wedding day that were so special! The ceremony felt so worshipful and was an amazing reminder that marriage is a good and precious gift from the Lord. It also meant the world to us to have so many friends and family come from all over America to celebrate!. Also, the dance floor was incredible! I loved it when my whole family, even my grandmother, was dancing with us!"

Carter--what's one of the things you admire most about Caroline?
Carter: "Caroline is one of the best friends I know. Not just to me, but so many others in her life. She is reliable, loyal, honest and caring. He also has the best sense of humor and keeps me laughing!"
