Al + Elizabeth {wedding} :: Selma, Ala.

How did you two meet?

Elizabeth: "Al and I met on Tinder and after several weeks of going back and forth we agreed to meet in person. My entire world stopped the moment I first laid eyes on Al and I knew that he was the one God put on this earth for me to marry. Not to be cliché, but I loved Al from that moment. It would have been awkward if he did not ask me on a second date but now we are married so my gut instinct was right!"

How did Al propose?

Elizabeth: "Al proposed December 9, 2016 while we were in Chicago visiting friends. He was so nervous that he almost proposed at the Jim and Nicks in the Birmingham airport! We spent the day seeing the sites of Chicago and ended the day at the Chicago Cultural Center to see the world’s largest Tiffany stained glass dome. The Cultural Center is not a tourist hot spot, so we were able to wander in and out of the ornate rooms in peace and at our own pace. We came across a grand wood paneled room, and while I was looking out the floor to ceiling windows at the snow falling on Michigan Avenue, Al got down on one knee and proposed."

What are some things you two enjoy doing together?

Elizabeth: "Al is in agriculture, and I am in manufacturing so we spend a lot of time at work or thinking about work. When we finally have time off to spend together, we enjoy just hanging around the house just being together with our two dogs, Pilot and Wilhelm. We have also been very fortunate to spend time traveling together. In our three years together our travel highlights have included Chicago, San Francisco, Napa and Italy. I have enjoyed making sure this boy from Selma gets a little bit of art and culture in his life!"

Al-- what's one thing you admire most about Elizabeth?

Al: "What I admire the most about Elizabeth is that she is the most compassionate person I have met. She is kind to everyone she meets and just seems to know when someone just needs that little bit of extra kindness to get through the day."

Elizabeth-- what's one thing you admire most about Al?

Elizabeth: "I admire a lot of things about Al, and he is everything I could have asked for and prayed for in a husband. It is tough for me to pick just one thing I admire, but the fact that he never meets a stranger is the first thing that comes to my mind. Al is the friendliest person you will ever meet and is constantly telling me about new people he has met through work or just by striking up a conversation with someone in a store."

What was each of yall's favorite part of your big day?

Elizabeth: "Other than marrying Al, my favorite part of the whole wedding was spending the majority of the reception on the dance floor with Al, our families and our friends celebrating our marriage."

Al: "My favorite part of the wedding was seeing my wife and all of our family and friends so happy and having a good time."
