Zane + Jordan {wedding}

How did you two meet?

Jordan: "We met at Baptist South in Montgomery. He was my friend’s dad’s nurse in the ICU. I was also working at Baptist South and went to go visit. I remember thinking he was really handsome at first. I just could tell there was something different about him. I also think I noticed him because my friend was talking about how awesome of a nurse Zane was. It's also easy to remember a unique name like Zane. I noticed that he was kind, patient and smart."

Zane: "I thought she was beautiful and radiant. I could see love pouring out of her eyes."

How did Zane propose?

Jordan: "Zane proposed on December 23, 2016 in Lusaka, Zambia. He came to visit over Christmas with my parents and my sister. I knew he would propose while he was there because we had to plan it a little. Being long-distance, there were only two times we would see each other while I was in Zambia. I knew it was coming, I just didn’t know when on the trip. He pulled me to the side and proposed. He said a lot of really incredibly sweet things that I didn’t remember, so I made him write them down. He gave me the most beautiful ring. It was so much fun to spend the rest of the trip taking engagement-like pictures on a safari and even with a lion! I love our adventurous story."

Zane-- what do you admire most about Jordan?

Zane: "I admire her heart for the Lord. How she loves everyone around her. Her smile. Her sense of adventure. Her incredible piercing blue eyes. Her dedication to see something through. I feel like I’ve known her my whole life. She's my best friend. We can be weird together. She has faith and is fearless. She's not afraid of a challenge.”

What are some things you two enjoy doing together?

Jordan: "Zane and I like to go to concerts, movies (Marvel movies in particular), trying new restaurants and listening to music. We have been apart for most of our relationship, so we’re really excited to spend a lifetime figuring out the things we like to do together."

Jordan-- what do you admire most about Zane?

Jordan: "What I admire most about Zane is his love for the Lord. I also loves how he loves his people. He is willing to do whatever is needed of him. I admire how he is such a hard-worker. I love how when he sets his mind to something-- he accomplishes it. I admire how he makes people feel comfortable around him. He just has this way of making you feel like you’ve known him forever. I admire that he always tries to do what is right and good. I admire how he does what he can to set my mind at ease and make me feel loved. I admire that he is ready to encourage me, and I know that he is always proud of me."

What was each of yall's favorite part of the day?

Jordan: "Our first look was the favorite part. I loved walking down the aisle to him with the journal in my hand. I loved being able to give him this journal that was filled with so many words of love to him. I just thought my heart was going to burst. I loved that I could see him see me as his bride."

Zane: "I liked the anticipation of seeing Jordan and how beautiful she was going to be. I loved how radiant she looked when I finally saw her."

What's next for you two?

Jordan: "With as unpredictable as our journey has been to this point, we don’t have a five-year plan quite yet. I do know that Zane is graduating from Family Nurse Practitioner school this coming August, so he will look for a job at a clinic hopefully in the Birmingham area. I’m working at UAB in transplant services, and I love it!"
