Sean + Kellie {wedding} :: Huntsville, Ala.

How did you two meet!

Kellie: "Sean and I met through a mutual friend, Jenna. I recently moved to Mobile and was living with Jenna. We both went downtown one night and she introduced me to some high school friends, Sean Garrett and Sean Peabody (the best man). We moved on and were talking to another group of Jenna’s high school friends. I got a little bored in their conversation as they were reminiscing and I was looking around and saw Sean looking at me. We locked eyes and he did this little finger motion (I never let him forget this) for me to come here and I thought, 'What do I have to lose?' (Plus he was really handsome!!) So, I went over and started to get to know him. He got my number that night, and a few days later we went on our first date! My first thought of Sean was that he was a true gentleman and was handsome."

Sean: "My first thought of Kellie was that she was a beautiful young lady with a classy appeal."

What are some things y'all like to do together?

Kellie: "We really enjoy cooking dinner together. It is something we do every day and just talk and spend quality time together. The Lord has blessed us both with such wonderful families that we are very close to, so we love getting together and spending time with them! Honestly, we just love being together and doing whatever adventure each day brings us."

How and when did Sean propose?

Kellie: "Sean proposed on July 8, 2016. Sean took me out to a nice restaurant to celebrate that night. July 4th was our three-year anniversary, and we were driving back from Huntsville that day so we decided to celebrate that Friday. During dinner, Sean got a staged text from his mom asking us to come help move some furniture after dinner for his grandfather. We were talking about what movie we were going to watch when we pulled up into his parents driveway. Everything was really dark, but I didn’t think anything of it. When we pulled up, Sean pointed out this little canopy in his parent’s yard that had never been there and said, 'Oh mom must have just gotten this to do some star gazing or something.' Once again, I thought nothing of it, and we got out of the car to go look at it. We walked over to it and were underneath it when I noticed something light up in the field. Then fireworks lit up the sky! Sean put together a beautiful firework display. My head was on his chest, and I could feel his heart pounding and thought, 'Could this really be it?! Is he about to propose?!' But then Sean said, 'Happy three years, babe.” So, I thought how sweet it was that he did this to celebrate three years together. Sean knows I LOVE fireworks, and I was upset we didn’t get to see any on the 4th of July. After the fireworks stopped, café lights on the canopy suddenly came on. Sean faced me and started to talk to me and reached for a box, got down on one knee and proposed! Of course I started crying and eventually got out the words, 'yes.' But wait there is more…. After a few minutes, I called my mom and dad. While I was talking to my mom and telling her what happened, I turned around to see my parents walking towards us. And once again, more tears came! My parents and his parents were hiding, watching the whole thing! I was so surprised. It was absolutely perfect!!"

Kellie- what's one of the things you admire most about Sean?

Kellie: "It is hard to think of one thing I admire most about Sean because honestly each thing is what makes him the man I am in love with. That sounded cheesy, but it is so true. He is such a hard working, kind and selfless man. I see those things in him every day in everything he does. I also love how goofy he is!"

Sean- what's one of the things you admire most about Kellie?

Sean: "Kellie is the most thoughtful and selfless person I know. She puts other peoples' needs before her own. The fact that she is so kind is what I admire the most about her."

What was each yall's favorite part of the big day?

Sean: "Seeing all the people that came to celebrate and support us on such a special day was something I will always remember, but my favorite part of our wedding day was when those doors opened and getting to see Kellie walk down the aisle."

Kellie: "I loved everything about our wedding day! I had such a wonderful time getting ready with my bridesmaids all day and spending time with them. I loved the ceremony and seeing everyone that came to celebrate such a special time with us. I also loved everything about the reception from sharing a dance with Sean and my father to breaking it down with my grandfather. I would say my favorite part though was saying our vows to each other. It was such a sweet and beautiful moment for the both of us."

What's next for you two?

Kellie: "We plan on decorating and doing some home improvement projects to our new home!"
